"Aspens" by Ann Templeton
I remember the first time I met Ann, at a 3 day pastel workshop sponsored by Ozark Pastel Society. I was amazed at her technique with soft pastels and loved her as a Tutor. Knew I was just getting a little taste of her, and yearned for another opportunity to study her style.
That day came when I learned she was going to teach for 2 weeks at La Bonne Etoile in France. Only one problemo...she was teaching in oil.
Having experimented with every medium EXCEPT oil, I really hesitated to jump ship again...all new materials expense, another path. Then I rationalized that if I WAS ever going to study oil, it should be with someone of Ann's stature...and I already knew her.
So, my supplies arrived 3 days before departure and I figured I should try oil, once, at least.

The other 3 students were all professional artists. Needless to say, I soaked up information like a sponge and learned all kinds of new art 'stuff'. Did I get my fill? No. I still wanted more of Ann and her teaching.
Now, with her addition to MyArtTutor, I've been able to immerse myself once again, in her techniques. This time, I can spend as much time as I want listening and watching her! Can't wait to get back to my easel!
Would love to meet you in the workshop!
